Thanks for giving me such a warm welcome. For those who I’ve not yet met please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Katy Pierce and as the newly appointed Town Centre Manager for Neston I’ll be working alongside you to help Neston fulfil its potential, making our town a more sustainable, enjoyable, prosperous and vibrant place to live, work and visit.
Neston has a great community spirit which I’ve been fortunate to experience at first hand by meeting so many of the wonderful independent shop owners, colourful market traders and regular, committed visitors to Neston’s town centre.
But we know there is much to do. There is no simple solution for the failing high streets across the country, austerity measures, and competition from the internet, but with a strong base of independent retailers, our wonderful market, a fighting community spirit and all of this situated in the beautiful historic fabric of Neston, there is much to build on.
I have lots of ideas and am here to help make Neston be the best it can. But you know Neston better than anyone and so I’d welcome your suggestions and proposals for how we move Neston forward. When I’m not out and about around town or market you’ll find me in the community office based on the top deck of Sainsbury’s car park. Do feel free to pop in and introduce yourself or you can email me on
firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message on 0151 353 1056
I’m looking forward to working with you.
