Quintin Colville is Curator of Naval History at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich and his talk will be about the creation and content of the Lady Hamilton Exhibition, currently running at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich until 17th April. A version of our Society’s more modest (but nonetheless excellent) ‘Emma’ exhibition, illustrating her connections to Ness, Neston and Parkgate will be on display in the Town Hall throughout Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd April. Entrance to the Town Hall exhibition is free. There will also be a short open service for Emma on the Saturday morning at 10.30am in the Parish Church.
Tickets for Dr Colville’s talk, which starts at 7pm, Friday 21st April, will be on sale at the door for £7 or in advance by ringing Pat Kynaston 0151 353 1928, Janet Griffiths 0151 336 5478, calling at Allister Opticians on Neston Cross or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Following the talk there will be light refreshments and the opportunity for an informal chat with speaker.
