The Friends of West Vale Park are a small group of residents who promote the positive use of the park. They liaise with West Cheshire and Chester Council on its upkeep and maintenance. The Group was set up in 2010 after renovation of the play area. The committee is made up of local residents, representatives of Neston Town Council, Cheshire West and Chester Council and the Police.

The Group organise an annual Fun Day one afternoon in August. It specifically targets local families with children in Neston, free to all. The event gives local residents, and particularly those living on the West Vale and neighbouring estates, the opportunity to come together during the school holiday to enjoy their local park and meet friends. We have as many activities for the children as possible.

The Group maintain the garden area next to the West Vale shops – an area of shrubs and bedding plants that is really appreciated by the local residents. This land has been ‘adopted’ by Neston Town Council, who provide funds for the plants.
