Pat Kynaston
Little Neston Ward
I have lived in the Neston area all my life, having been born in Parkgate, and moved to Little Neston when I married my husband, Robert.
I worked in the TSB Bank when it was still a saving bank, and saw the changes as it became a full bank offering all the services associated with that. After 20 years I became disenchanted with the direction we were going and left to set up my own company in 1992. I started offering small conference planning and then moved into group leisure tours for organisations and social groups in the Cheshire area.
I retired and closed the business in 2021 and have, since then, increased my involvement with various charities – both local and national.
I have volunteered with the WEA (Workers Educational Association) for 30 years and have been active in their Governance structure for over 20 years. I am currently a Board member and their National President.
Local community transport is a particular concern of mine. I sit on the Board of Ellesmere Port & Neston Community Transport and am a regular local volunteer driving for the charity.
I still enjoy walking whenever possible, reading (particularly history) and DIY.
