Weekly Friday Market – Weekly 8am to 2pm.

First appearing in 1728 when King George III granted a royal charter for a weekly market, Neston Friday market has been a popular and well loved weekly event ever since. During the mid 1800s the market was so successful that people would travel from North Wales across the River Dee estuary on foot, ponies, donkeys and on carts to get to Neston Market.

The Market today retains all of its historic charm and has a wide ranging offer including shoes, jewellery, gifts, sweets, plants and pet supplies as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, fish, cheese and a variety of bakery produce including Greek, Persian, French and British.

Neston Market is a focal point for the town where locals and shoppers tend to meet. Observing the market it is wonderful to see the many friendships that have been developed over the years between customers and traders, through the many years of market trading. In fact, many traders tell us it is their favourite market to trade at because of the friendly people of Neston and the welcome they receive. The market is friendly, informal and often has live music and entertainment which adds to the relaxed and jovial atmosphere.
