Holes in the Ground: Historic Marl Pits and Rail Cuttings repurposed for Wildlife and Leisure

Lees Lane Ponds & Neston Rail Cutting, Wirral Country Park, Neston. A gentle stroll on public footpaths to explore aspects of Geological, Agricultural, and Victorian Heritage and the contemporary use of former industrial sites for leisure, recreation and wildlife. Our history spans 250 million years. Guided Walk – wear suitable footwear and bring waterproofs. Limited disabled access – public footpaths gently sloping mostly level
