Free to use public bicycle pumps have been installed in Neston Town Centre and at Parkgate Donkey Stand, alongside new cycle parking facilities. The new free bicycle pumps were purchased by Neston Town Council.

 Neston's new free to use public bike pump

This robust, stainless steel public bicycle pumps will provide cyclists with convenient pumps. The pumps are permanent fixtures, bolted to the ground and suitable for both types of tyre valve as well as a handy gauge to check pressure.

Cllr Martin Barker, member of the Town Centre Committee and councillor for Cheshire West & Chester Council said, ‘This is an original and quirky facility for the Town Centre and reinforces the Town Council’s commitment as a cycle friendly town whilst also promoting healthy living.’

Neston Town Council’s Town Centre Manager Katy Pierce said, “So many cyclists visit Neston and it’s great to be able to provide such a facility for them. Neston has much to offer cyclists with a number of cycle friendly businesses and we hope that the bike pump will encourage more cyclist in the area to stop in Neston and see what’s on offer.”

Local cyclist and director of Pedalare Events, Andy Mills, who had already used the pump said, “We set up Neston Cycle Town to support cycling in and around Neston. Well done to Neston Town Council for putting some resources towards cycle friendly measures.”
